History

Vernate lies in the Malcantone, the hilly region southwest of Lugano known for its chestnut woods and terraced vineyards. The small, rural-rooted hamlet keeps the stone architecture typical of Malcantone villages. From its slopes the view stretches over the surrounding wooded valleys.
