History
Terre di Pedemonte was formed in 2013 by the merger of Cavigliano, Tegna and Verscio, at the foot of the Centovalli, not far from Locarno. Verscio is home to the Accademia Teatro Dimitri, founded in 1975 by the famous clown Dimitri, an internationally recognized school of physical theatre. Vineyards, woods and old stone hamlets characterize this corner of the Locarno region.
