History
Tenero-Contra sits on Lake Maggiore at the mouth of the Verzasca river, with wide beaches that make it one of Switzerland's most popular lakeside and camping destinations. It is home to the national youth sports center (CST), a federal facility with over 180 installations for dozens of sports. The lake landscape and mild climate have drawn visitors since the last century.
