History
Ronco sopra Ascona clings to the slopes above Lake Maggiore, with views reaching to the Brissago Islands. The landscape and light of the Locarno region drew painters and artists in the early 20th century, in a cultural climate akin to nearby Ascona and Monte Verità. Stone lanes and flowering terraces drop steeply toward the lake.
