Ponte Capriasca

History

Ponte Capriasca lies in the Val Capriasca, north of Lugano, and includes the village of Origlio with its glacial lake. The small Lago di Origlio, formed some thirteen thousand years ago, is now a protected nature reserve rich in dragonflies and amphibians. Wooded hills and traditional farmsteads shape the valley's landscape.
