Origlio

History

Just a few kilometers from Lugano, Origlio is known for its namesake lake, a glacial body of water surrounded by meadows and woods, popular for walks and summer swimming. The village, set on a slope at the entrance to the Val Colla, has kept its rural layout despite its proximity to the city. The view stretches from the lake to the Prealps closing the valley to the north.
