Neggio

History

In the heart of the Malcantone, Neggio is a small hamlet of stone houses set on a slope among chestnut woods, a typical example of the farming villages of this hilly region. The parish church and surrounding rural buildings recall an economy once based on woodland use and livestock. Its proximity to Lugano has not altered its quiet, self-contained character.
