History
At the entrance to the Valle di Muggio, Morbio Inferiore is crossed by the Breggia stream, which further upstream carved the spectacular Breggia Gorge, today a nature and geology park. The village retains the memory of its industrial past, tied to the nearby cement works and the mills that harnessed water power. Its border location, just steps from Italy, has always shaped its trade.
