History
Adjoining Locarno along the shore of Lake Maggiore, Minusio enjoys the same mild climate that nurtures palm trees, magnolias and lush gardens. The Bosco Isolino nature reserve, one of Ticino's last remaining floodplain forests, extends across its territory toward the mouth of the Maggia. Grown up around the old core of Mundàa, the town is now part of the continuous urban fabric of the Locarno area.
