Massagno

History

The most densely populated municipality in Ticino, Massagno has effectively merged with the neighboring city of Lugano, sharing its daily life and transport links. Having grown rapidly in the 20th century around its original farming core, it still holds traces of the old village near the parish church. Its hillside setting offers views over the Lugano basin and the surrounding Prealps.
