Lumino

History

At the foot of the mountains separating Ticino from Graubünden, Lumino lies along the road that climbs the Mesolcina valley toward the San Bernardino pass. The village, crossed by the Moesa river shortly before it joins the Ticino, retains traces of its past as a crossroads of trade and pilgrimage. The terraced vineyard slopes above it look out over the Bellinzona plain.
