Lema

History

Perched on the slopes of Monte Lema, in the heart of the Malcantone region, this small village retains the look of a traditional Ticino hamlet, with stone houses and slate roofs surrounded by chestnut woods. The mountain that gives it its name, reachable by cable car from Miglieglia, offers sweeping views over Lake Lugano and the Po plain. The quiet of its trails and its farming past make it a retreat far from traffic.
