Lamone

History

Lamone lies in the lower Vedeggio valley, a few kilometers from Lugano, in an area that quickly shifted from a farming village to a residential and light-industrial commune. Its historic core, gathered around the parish church, still recalls the plain's former agricultural economy. Its proximity to Lugano-Agno airport and to major routes has made it a hub of economic activity today.
