Grancia

History

Grancia is a small commune at the foot of Monte San Salvatore, on the shore of Lake Lugano near Melide. Its old core gathers around the church, while its location along the route linking Lugano to the Mendrisiotto has long made it a place of passage. Its setting on the gulf, between hill and lake, still shapes the landscape today.
