Canobbio

History

On the outskirts of Lugano, at the foot of Monte Brè, Canobbio stretches along the Cassarate river, which marks the boundary with the city. Its historic core, with a parish church and stone houses, recalls the village's rural origins, now absorbed into the Lugano agglomeration. Vineyards and gardens still cover the sunny slopes facing the Gulf of Lugano.
