Bedano

History

A small municipality on the Vedeggio plain, Bedano was long a farming village tied to field cultivation along the river. With the economic growth of the Lugano area, it gradually turned into a residential zone during the second half of the 20th century. The land still holds glimpses of countryside amid the new developments, just steps from the cantonal capital.
