History
Set on the slopes of Monte Generoso above the shores of Lake Lugano (Ceresio), Arogno is an old village of medieval origin known for its stone houses and carved door portals. The village produced generations of stonemasons and itinerant architects, a tradition typical of this part of southern Ticino. Its lanes still offer views over the lake and the wooded slopes of Monte Generoso.
