Aranno

History

A small Malcantone village perched among chestnut woods, Aranno retains the look of an old Ticino rural hamlet, with its stone houses and stone-slab roofs. Like other villages in the region, it was for generations a land of seasonal emigration to Italy and beyond the Alps. The quiet of its wooded trails makes it today a secluded spot overlooking the Malcantone hills.
